As the University YMCA works to increase the impact of its programs, it is critical that we develop the resources needed to sustain these efforts. Aware of this challenge, the Board of Governors formally approved the creation of five Designated Programs Funds [DPFs].

DPFs are different from contributions to our Annual Fund or gifts to our Endowment. However, there are opportunities for significant gifts that can endow each of the five specific areas.

DPFs provide crucial funding to expand an existing program beyond its current capacity or support a new initiative during the early stages of its development.

DPFs allow you to focus your gifts on the Y programs you feel most passionate about to encourage their action, growth, and development.

There are five categories to choose from:

• Civic Engagement and Leadership Development
• Community Dialogue & Forums
• International Programming
• Art @ the Y
• Our Building
