Joaquin Lainson

Joaquin Lainson is a graduate from the Department of Biochemistry with a B.S. in Biochemistry and a minor in Geography and Chemistry. He serves as the treasurer of the University Y-affiliated Philippine Student Association and is a member of the Campus Student Election Commission. They plan to pursue graduate education and get a PhD in a life sciences field in order to conduct research on essential biological functions. As a first-generation American, they are very passionate about creating and maintaining spaces for global cultures to thrive and flourish together.
