Ruta Rauber is originally from Omaha, Nebraska and has been a resident of Champaign/Urbana since August 1987. Ruta’s family began with herself, husband Bob and daughters Carolyn and Stacy. Since 2014, she has welcomed a couple of sons-in-law and three grandchildren. Ruta received her B.S. University of Nebraska-Lincoln (Go Big Red), M.A. University of Northern Colorado-Greeley, and A.F.A. Parkland College. Her interests include paper crafting, quilting, gardening, ceramics, metal smithing, and visiting art museums. She has focused her efforts as a volunteer as a docent with Krannert Art Museum, at the IDEA Store, and with the University Y.
