Deep End
Deep End reflects on water as a form of bound freedoms; it explores water as both a source of purity, vastness, and liberation, and as a terrain marked by violence, restriction, and fear.
Engaging materials that reference swimming pools and broader bodies of water, the works in Deep End operate across surface and depth. The exhibition situates personal and collective memory within larger historical frameworks, including the politics of public pool segregation, the preservation of familial archives, and the legacies of Pan-Africanist thought.
On display in our Murphy Gallery during building hours.
Exhibition run until mid-January 2026
